Job description
As a production manager, you manage and support our contract manufacturing partners in the development and validation of the production processes of our devices. This includes clean room manufacturing of light curable dental materials, manufacturing of precision plastic parts, and assembly of active medical devices. It is your responsibility to scale the production processes to meet the market demands and COGS targets. This requires the optimization of existing or development of new processes and the selection of capable manufacturing and processing partners.
As a supply chain manager, you oversee the supply chain of Lumendo’s product portfolio including stock planning, ordering, warehousing, logistics, and import/ export within the processes of our quality management system (QMS). You are responsible for the management of our suppliers, logistics partners, and service providers.
You enjoy planning and managing projects with internal and external teams while keeping an overview of the costs, market demands, and regulatory requirements. You have the skill set and experience to support the launch of a medical device portfolio and the ability to scale the capacities according to exponentially growing demand.
You are comfortable working in a multinational team of engineers, dentists, clinical, and regulatory specialists. As a production and supply chain manager, you enjoy being the operative backbone of the company.
Tasks
- Lead, manage, and support our contract manufacturers with medical device production.
- Scale the production quickly and efficiently, meeting COGS targets. Optimize or develop new processes.
- Internal and external sourcing of additionally required production capacities in hand with the growth of the company. Build up and manage the team to support growth.
- Oversee the supply chain of Lumendo’s product portfolio. Plan stock, place orders, organize the inspections, warehousing, logistics, and import/ export of our products and ensure full on-time delivery.
- Work together with the quality and development teams for establishing product specifications, orders, inspections, and release documentation.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage the relationship with suppliers and service providers meeting our quality requirements including the necessary contractual frameworks.
- Budget responsibility for supply chain and production.
- 10 years of work experience in the medical device industry. Thorough experience in medical device production and supply chain management.
- Detailed understanding of the Q&R requirements, including process validation.
- Management and leadership experience. Ability to lead and motivate teams and external partners.
- Expert knowledge and hands-on experience of the applicable norms and regulations: EU MDR, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, 21 CFR 820, ISO 14971, ISO 17025
- Ability to create or review documentation efficiently. Proficiency in English, good working knowledge of French.
