Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Team Lead Logistics Facilities located in Barcelona, Anzoategui. Successful candidates will supervise and manage the Offices/Facilities area, Housing and Land Transportation.
Team Lead Logistics Facilities has different roles within the organization, it is directly in charge of the offices, ground transportation area and everything related to Housing and lodging of the people of its locality. It provides a wide variety of confidential, logistical, administrative and electronic support, as well as handling important, confidential and sensitive information. Works in a team with other members of Business Services and maintains direct and supervisory contact with contractors. The employee must develop an excellent customer rapport, based on respect and his/her professionalism and dedication to the job, following guidelines of CBRES organization, a Chevron Business unit providing a comprehensive portfolio of fully integrated services tied to real estate, project management and business services.
Relieves the others logistics and facilities team lead or coordinator during their absences.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Offices Facilities Management:
- Manages maintenance plan for assuring optimal facilities functioning, accomplishing with HES procedures and policies.
- Assures that the preventive maintenance plan along with the contractors meet with the deadlines established in the Chevron way and according to the OE principles.
- Monitors Key performance (KPI’S) of suppliers within scope for facility management service delivery and third-party contractors based on operational excellence, cost reduction and organizational capability.
- Initiates and or implements and develops key work processes to align with services level standards and streamline operations, reduce costs, decrease cycle time and eliminate rework.
- Monitors contractor’s performances.
- Manages new offices space and coordinates equipment needs, works with management team to anticipate space and equipment needs for the office.
- Identifies services maintenance requirements and works closely with Contracts and HES departments besides support PLC’s supervisor for common contractor performance and purchasing.
- Works closely with Contracts Department and HES; maintains relationship with the PLC’s administrator supervisor for common contractors.
- Supervises, coordinates and executes Chevron offices and other Chevron offices requiring upgrades and remodeling.
- Keeps accurate information on office space availability. Gives support to SCM and HR Department as well, for assigning office or cubicles to visitors, temporary and permanent employees, contractors upon request.
Land Transportation:
- Supervises land transportation fleet operation in the location in safe, efficient, and reliable environment. Continuously reviews and determines the optimum number of vehicles (own and rented) needed in the location to provide a suitable transportation service.
- Identifies in advance the number of drivers required to assist expats and families and ensures contractor is following an adequate hiring process.
- Supervises the taxi services and ensures contractor provides a high-quality service.
- Assists the Motor Vehicle Safety process advisor to ensure contractor is following all procedures and monitor Key performance (KPI’S) of suppliers within scope.
- Participates and enforces incident investigations and resulting actions to be taken.
- Continuously improves the safety and health of employees and contractors.
- Administrates existing contractor agreements for compliance, improvements, modifications or renewal.
- Proactively identifies and establishes continuous improvements and total cost reduction opportunities in close cooperation with contractors.
- Conducts periodic Supplier Performance reviews, addressing both Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement activities.
Housing Services:
- Manages hotels, rooms and caterings.
- Manages housing contracts in the location from the housing selection up to the housing return.
- Performs the contract's management process through usage of Ariba tools, liaise with strategic Procurement Group to perform the contracting plan for General Service's department and follow its compliance.
- Coordinates the return of housing upon departure of CVX tenants, including negotiation, coordination of necessary repairs, payment of final utility bills, etc.
- Ensures return of apartment and termination agreement. Liaise with landlord in cases of conflicts.
- Ensures housing policies is followed consistently and promotes improvements with Legal, HR and Security.
- Supervises maintenance plans of the expatriate houses and assures timely communication. Sets up a maintenance program for each house and ensures completion within a timeframe, ensure the attendance the corrective maintenance on time and set plans to minimize failures.
- Implements maintenance programs in order to seek opportunities for costs reductions as well as reliability.
- Promotes improvements of systems and lead projects associated with modifications in conjunctions with contractor and landlords.
Other activities:
- Manages (plans, executes and accountable) OPEX required for the regular facilities functioning and CAPEX for developing special projects, according to Internal Control and Finance stewardship guidelines and best practices.
- Controls budget for all office activities.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a cohesive, multi-cultural, motivated and skilled staff that is customer oriented and performs its functions in an integrated manner to deliver superior service.
- Ensures training and mentoring programs are planned and implemented to develop Facilities professionals.
- Key support for MVS process monitoring and CIP deployment and execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Relationships or related careers.
- Must be proficient in English.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and diverse environment.
- Ability in planning and organization skills.
- Teamwork, team lead and customer service focus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in the Logistics area or customer service area.
- Experience with logistic general, transportation, facilities, offices information systems, computer skills, negotiation skills.
- Open to work on a flexible time and Holidays, as needed.
